THEORICAL FRAMEWORK

Medicinal plants are those for use in the treatment of a condition. Parts or extracts of these plants are used in teas, ointments, creams, tablets, capsules or other formats.

Remedies from plants used since prehistoric times. They found records of this type of medicine in most cultures. The modern pharmaceutical industry is based on that knowledge and processing of various active ingredients from plants. Generally, the compounds are useful in certain parts of the plant such as seeds, roots, leaves or flowers. The usable part by the drug depends on the species in question.

Each herb and plant has a specific property that is used to treat or prevent certain diseases or health problems such as cancer, acne, stomach pain, diarrhea and more.

Among the best known medicinal plants used are the following: garlic, poppy, eucalyptus, mint, cascara, oregano, aloe stalk, cinnamon, basil, chamomile and valerian.

Taking into account previous knowledge on medicinal plants with this project in the area of foreign language is to carry out different methods for sharing the community. We must say that Colombia has a great diversity of flora, it is why the goal of this project is to introduce some medicinal plants that are at our disposal to treat different diseases.
